loading a large number of images to item records

I have many item records for photos that were initially entered without an image. I am going through the process of digitising many photos and adding the thumbnails to the item record.

Is there some way I can do this in bulk rather than having to load each image individually?I have the thumbnails ready but it is very laborious having to open each item record to load the thumnbnail.

Hi Samantha,

Thank you for your question, it's an interesting point.

Currently there's no way of bulk importing images, however if it's something that users would like to see added, then we could look into developing it.

Dear Mark,

Greetings from Australia. I would dearly love there to be a script created so that we could bulk upload items. Not necessarily photos though.

When you catalogued items (like 500 sets of plans), it can be easier to work from an excel spreadsheet entering data into columns. This is particularly useful if you have staff or volunteers that don't have access / or haven't yet been trained in using AM.

It would be just amazing if we could  import excel spreadsheet into AM.

Thanks,

Roslyn

Dear Roslyn

This is definately possible, and as this has been asked for previously, I will ask our software engineers to work on this.
